Hey Jasmine, Thanks for dropping by the blog. David's book is one of my all-time favourite too! I read and blogged about it quite a while back - http://pristan.wordpress.com/2007/08/28/what-i-am-reading-and-listening/

Hi Priscilla, came across your blog via Twitter.

One social media book I really enjoyed reading: The New Rules of PR and Marketing by David Meerman Scott.

Btw, I really like your blog.

I initially thought the Long Tail was just about the Long Tail concept, but reading the book I found a lot that lays the foundation of society online today. Democratisation of media, sharing, the amateur-professional thing etc. Haven't gotten down to Wisdom of Crowds yet, definitely should soon.

Geoff, I got Now is Gone, even before it came to local bookstores! Love it!!

Daryl, honestly? I didn't really read The Long Tail. I read about it online and heard alot of presentations about it but didn't pick up the book.

There are alot of other great books that I didn't include in this list as they are either too "marketing" or too "business-y".

The other books that i contemplated adding in were "Wisdom of crowds" and "revolutionary wealth" that Kevin got for me some time back. check them out if you haven't yet. :) Happy reading!

I've only read about half the books there (shame on me!), how about The Long Tail? Not particularly social media-esque, but I think it's good to understand how everything is being democratised and where the power is shifting to!

Thanks for including Now Is Gone in this very impressive list. I would only add the Cluetrain Manfesto as it started it all.
